As part of a two-day workshop organized by Alyse Emdur and Michael Parker and hosted by High Desert Test Sites, participants learned to build solar ovens using cardboard boxes, glue, newspaper, and aluminum foil.

Balloon Route, named after Los Angeles’ defunct streetcar system, is an eighty-page newsprint publication in which Michael Parker reflects on his travels seeking utopia in all its partial realizations.

For I Am A Citizen, Michael Parker photographed trees on Skid Row, which a resident named Audrae Rena Jones had  wrapped in purple plastic.  The images were made into a poster and packaged in an interview.
